Robert G. Leary

Robert G. Leary is the Chairman and CEO of ING Investment Management, Americas, the asset management arm of ING Group of the Netherlands, one of the world's largest financial services companies. Rob's responsibilities include the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.

ING IM Americas manages strategies across a broad range of asset classes and specialty financial products. The company provides traditional and customized solutions for large institutional clients across the globe, as well as an extensive offering of open and closed-end mutual funds, solutions products and variable annuities for retail (individual) customers in its region. Assets under management exceed $200 billion.

Before joining ING, Rob held senior leadership positions with several large financial institutions. Most recently he served as Executive Vice President and Head of North America Corporate and Investor Marketing for AIG Financial Products Corp., a financial products subsidiary of AIG Group, Inc. that concentrates on the derivatives and structured products market. Additionally, he served as President of their broker dealer AIG Financial Securities Corp. Before AIG, he was with JPMorgan, developing derivatives and structured products for a wide range of institutions. Mr. Leary began his career as a lawyer with White & Case, where he helped establish the firm's Middle East presence with an office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mr. Leary received his J.D. from Fordham University, School of Law, NY and is a graduate of Union College, NY, with an honors degree in political science.

Eric H. Anderson
Executive Vice President, Head of ING IM Latin America

Eric Anderson is Executive Vice President, Head of ING IM Latin America for ING Investment Management Americas and a member of the IIM Americas Management Committee. Prior to this, Eric served as General Manager of ING IM Mexico and was responsible for US$15 billion in assets under management for ING Mexico Insurance, ING Afore and external clients. Eric began his career with ING Investment Management in 1997 as Vice President of Latin American Investments, where he was responsible for managing Latin America Equity mutual funds and external client accounts. In 2003, Eric joined the emerging markets equity team in the Netherlands responsible for managing emerging market equity mutual funds and separate account assets. Prior to joining ING IM, Eric was a Senior Portfolio Manager, Latin America Equity and Emerging Markets Fixed Income with Offitbank in New York and the Head of Equity Research for Afin (now Banorte) brokerage house in Mexico City. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from State University of New York and an M.B.A. in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jeffrey T. Becker

Jeff Becker is Vice Chairman, Chief Operating and Financial Officer for ING Investment Management Americas and a member of the Management Committee. He is responsible for leading the division’s Strategic Planning, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and Facilities functions among other administrative activities. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jeff joined one of ING Investment Management’s predecessor asset management companies in 1998 and ultimately served as its Chief Financial and Administrative Officer responsible for its financial, operating, technology and other support organizations. Prior to joining ING, he was Assistant Chief Credit Officer and Group Head, Portfolio Valuation & Analysis for Aetna’s Real Estate Investment Group. Prior to joining Aetna in 1994, Jeff was a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s financial consulting practice. He earned a B.A. in economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Bob Browne, CFA
Chief Investment Officer of Proprietary Investments

Bob Browne is the Chief Investment Officer of Proprietary Investments, leading the management of fixed income portfolios for ING’s U.S. insurance assets, which total over $80 billion. He oversees macro investment strategy for the general account and is a member of the US ALCO. Bob joined ING Investment Management in 2004, coming from Picador Capital, where as founder and managing partner, he led alternative fixed income investments. Prior to that, he was managing director and co-head of U.S. Fixed Income for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, where he oversaw more than $150 billion in assets under management. Bob has also served as vice president & portfolio manager at JP Morgan Investment Management working in their New York, Tokyo and London offices. Bob earned a Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Paul Gyra

Gyra

Paul Gyra is Head of Alternative Assets for ING Investment management based in New York and is responsible for its global business development activities in the area of alternative assets. Prior to joining ING Investment Management in May 2002, he was the president and chief executive officer of Baring Asset Management North America, a former subsidiary of ING, responsible for its U.S. and Canadian businesses.

Before joining Baring in 2000, Paul held other senior management positions within ING's asset management and investment banking groups. Paul held corporate strategy and senior finance positions at ING Asset Management in The Netherlands, and also spent three years with ING Baring as Global Head of Internal Audit after the collapse of Barings. Paul has 24 years of experience in the international financial services industry and has held positions in the U.S., Europe and Australia with CS First Boston, Harvard Management Company, and Ernst & Young. Paul received a B.S. (honors) in accounting from Providence College in 1984 and became a CPA. In 1998 Paul attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Toby Hoden

Toby Hoden is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for ING Investment Management Americas and is a member of the Management Committee. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ING US Financial Services, where he was responsible for all aspects of corporate marketing, including advertising, branding, creative services, diversity marketing, market research, and regulatory communications. Toby joined ING in 1998 as CMO of ING Funds. He has also served as CMO of ING Investment Products Distribution, Head of Product and Distribution Marketing for ING USFS, and Head of Retail Marketing. Toby joined ING from OppenheimerFunds where he held a number of positions, most notably, Head of Product Management. He also worked at Citibank and the Chase Manhattan Bank in a variety of senior marketing roles. Prior to attending Business School, Toby worked for five years in Washington, DC at the Brookings Institution and at the US Department of Commerce, respectively. Toby holds a Bachelors degree from West Virginia University and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University.

James (Jamie) Kase

Kase

James (Jamie) Kase joined ING Investment Management in October 2005 as Head of Distribution, joining the Company's Management Committee and reporting to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In this Executive Vice President role, Jamie has responsibility for overseeing the company's institutional business, as well as consultant and client relations functions.

Jamie has over 21 years experience in the investment management industry, holding senior sales leadership positions at several of Wall Street's top firms. He joins ING from Merrill Lynch Investment Management, where he was most recently chief operating officer of its U.S. institutional business. Prior to his tenure at Merrill Lynch, Jamie held several senior positions at Lehman Brothers, including head of equity sales and research, Asia. Throughout his career, he has also covered all aspects of the derivatives markets, working with clients on managing risk with sophisticated asset allocation and hedging techniques to optimize risk-return performance. At Swiss Bank, he was responsible for institutional fixed income derivative sales, and before that managed the US Derivative Sales-Pension group at Bankers Trust. Jamie graduated from Brown University with a degree in political science.

Shaun Mathews

Shaun Mathews is the head of the Mutual Funds organization. In this role he has responsibility for ING's U.S. retail mutual fund business and the packaging strategy and platform for the proprietary and third party managed mutual funds used across ING's wealth management businesses.

Prior to this, Mathews served as chief marketing officer for ING U.S. Financial Services. In this role he was responsible for all aspects of marketing, including strategy, brand development/advertising, brand integration, marketing communications, competitive intelligence, market research, e-business strategies, and strategic relationships.

Shaun joined ING in 2000 with the acquisition of Aetna Financial Services (AFS). He began his career with Aetna in 1979 where he held a number of positions including head of Marketing and Product Management for AFS and general manager of the individual annuity and small-case 401 businesses. He also held positions in investment management, corporate finance, international treasury and corporate planning. He served as president of the Aetna Mutual Funds from 1991 to 1997.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Holy Cross College and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Cornell University.

Kevin McMahon

Kevin McMahon is Head of Technology and Operations. He joined ING Investment Management in 2004 as Chief Knowledge Officer and Chief of Staff, reporting to Rick Nelson. In that capacity he was responsible for coordinating several business rationalization projects, notably consolidating ING IM's US equity trading environments onto one platform, Charles River. Since joining the firm he has also worked closely with Operations, Legal and Compliance for numerous fund mergers and launches. This has proven essential to the streamlining and efficiency of the investment group. He has over 27 years of technology experience, most of which has been in the financial sector. Before joining ING IM, Kevin worked for JPMorgan Investment Management in various IT capacities in the Americas including head of investment systems application development, head of technology merger integration and leader of global infrastructure/business efforts.

Jennifer McPeek
Senior Vice President

Head of Strategic Planning

Jennifer McPeek is the Head of Strategic Planning for ING Investment Management Americas and a member of its Management Committee. Jennifer is responsible for managing annual and quarterly strategic business reviews, leading strategic special initiatives and overseeing merger and acquisition activity within ING Investment Management-Americas. She joined ING Institutional Markets in 2005 as Senior Director, Product Development, subsequently working on asset strategies for the General Account as well.

Jennifer came to ING with over 12 years of experience in strategic consulting, corporate finance and investment banking. She was co-head of Capital Markets Strategy within the Corporate Finance practice at McKinsey & Company, where she worked from 1995-2001 and subsequently launched her own regional advisory firm consulting to institutional investors and private equity firms in the Southwest. Prior to McKinsey, she worked as a Financial Engineer in the new markets team at Bank of Boston. Jennifer began her career as an investment banking analyst with Goldman, Sachs & Co., working on transactions in the energy sector. She received her M.S. in Financial Engineering from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Fredric (Rick) A. Nelson

Rick Nelson is Vice Chairman and Chief Investment Officer Third Party Business for ING Investment Management Americas, which operates in the institutional, managed account and alternative markets. In his role, Rick is responsible for leading all investment activities across the equity and fixed income platforms. This encompasses portfolio oversight, investment team review, and managing ING Investment Management's strategic Investment Process and Risk Management functions.

Rick has over 24 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining ING in 2003, he was with JPMorgan Fleming Investment Management, Inc., where he was head of the U.S. Equity Group as well as a member of the Global and U.S. Executive Committees. Before that he was at Bankers Trust, where he was part of the Global Investment Management Group and led the Global Quantitative Applications Group. Rick received his B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Chet Ragavan

Chief Risk Officer

Chet Ragavan joined ING Investment Management in April 2008 as Chief Risk Officer, joining the company’s Management Committee and reporting to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Chet has responsibility for an integrated, company-wide platform that covers market, credit and operational risk management.

Prior to joining ING, Chet served as Managing Director, co-head of the Portfolio Analytics Group for BlackRock Solutions following its merger with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in October 2006. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1980 and has held a number of senior investment and risk management positions within its various subsidiaries over the next 26 years. These included Global Head of Fixed Income Research (2000 to 2006) and Head of Risk Management (1993 to 2000) within the Asset Management subsidiary, Chief Investment Strategist (1990 to 1992) for the Insurance subsidiary and Research Specialist (1985 to 1990) for the Capital Markets subsidiary.

Chet has a B.B.A. in Management Science from Madurai University, and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Madras, both in India. He also holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Mark Weber
Executive Vice President
Head of Structured Assets and Innovation

Mark Weber is the Head of Structured Assets and Innovation for ING Investment Management Americas and a member of its Management Committee. Mark is responsible for ING IM’s business development of structured vehicles like CDOs, CLOs and credit linked notes, as well as the structured fund business, including closed end funds in domestic and international markets. Mark joined ING Investment Management as global head of marketing in The Hague in 2002, having served in that capacity for Baring Asset Management (then an ING affiliated company) for the previous five years in London and Boston.

Prior to joining ING Group, Mark was with Banque Paribas Group from 1984 to 1997 where he held a number of debt capital markets, investment banking and investment management positions in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore and New York, including co-head of institutional asset management from 1994 to 1997, general manager of the Singapore corporate bank in 1993-1994 and head of investment banking in Tokyo 1988-1993. From 1980 to 1984, he was an associate at Davis, Polk & Wardwell, a New York law firm. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (History) from Yale University (magna cum laude) and Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia Law School.
